Hi, how are you?

I am a HUSTer, althought I much like to be a HITer. :)
I have a suggestion to the alumni list in the HUST web page.
Right now it is difficult to find someone in the list, althought
it is very detailed. What I suggust is that ... Well, you can
go to http://www.eas.asu.edu/cgi-bin/www/homepage, and have
a look.

Thanks.

Hello, Cai:

I have no idea about the introduction of your department. I don't know the
history about our department at all. I have left school for two years, there
must be a lot of changes during these years. If you have some samples for
other department, maybe I can follow it. The best idea is send an e-mail back
to HUST and find someone in our department to do this. Anyway, I would like
to do some work for our group.

Regard,

Fan Liu

Hi, CaiDaRen.
Good question...I don't know! I sometimes tell people
"bioengineering", sometimes "biomedical engineering". Oh well.... Please
feel free to correct what ever I wrote in the form. Thank you!
I haven't congratulated your newly obtained doctoral title yet!
CONGRATULATIONS!
How's your new job? I went to your home page the other day and
saw the picture of your happy family.
I'll call you someday. Regards to your wife and kid.

Dear Doctor Cai,

I am a HUST graduate. I just begin to use internet. I receive the form
fom Mr. Hong in E-mail but I don't know how to get it out of that mail
and then complete it. I used http: to open your file ~cai_home.html. I
also used the command " ftp huanghe.unl.edu" , but the system ask me to
login. I don't have login account and password. Could you please help me
so that I can open the name list file to find some of my classmates. I
knew I had 2 classmates in U.S. We came to here about 5 years ago
seperately, but didn't know where everyone was. Please tell me what
command I should use to connect to what database address. Thank you very
much. I appriciate.

Hi, I am an alumni of HUST.

It is a great pleasure to find HUST's Alumni home page in the network, thank
you very much for your work.

But I think there may need a big improvement to make the home page more
friendly, at least not too worse than other chinese universities. It is
possible to make a good one just as U. of Sci.& Tech. of China or
Peking U. made, maybe even better.

Thank you for your consideration of this advice. I believe if we have
a alumni homepage good enough and convenient enough, we may find in fact
we have such a big alumni in USA. Anyway it's nice to HUST as well as
to ourselves!

Thank you again! Bye!

As you can probably tell, I'm not Chinese (nor have I ever been to China) I
just wanted to write to tell you that your HUST page is great. My very good
friend is there working with grad students, teaching English. It's great to
get a sense of where he is and what his environment is like. One question:
does everyone at HUSt have access to e-mail? My friend doesn't know about
it. It would be great to communicate with him through e-mail instead of
snail mail! I am also planning a trip to China to visit my friend in the
spring. I am very excited about it & I'm sure your page and others like it
will give me a basic idea of China before I go.

Sincerely,

Kristen Steingrandt

I'm very excited when I got information from HUST through the Internet.
Though I have just graduated from HUST, I have always thought of HUST,
where much precious memory was left. I'm glad to hear from all HUSTers.

Hi,
I have just browse the homepage you 've done for HUST.
Thank you very much.the site sun200.whnet.edu.cn is the old
web site of hust, please change it as www.whnet.edu.cn. This
is the homepage of the CERNET Central CHina Regional center's
homepage which locates in the computer center of HUST. This
year HUST has a great leap in the Network construction. We have the best
Campus network in China. For example we are the first U. to adopt
ATM based backbone and form a real Virtual network in HUST(BAY Network
Products).

I am glad to see our homepage getting better and better. I was playing
with the html stuff and wrote a little page. If you would like to use it
let me know. It is a "registration form". you may check it out at

http://irvin.psyc.memphis.edu/xhu/mathd/reg.html

I used some CGI scripts that can transform the "registration form" into
the format similar to the entries in "Alumni List". I have a machine and
I have an httpd server. So, if you need me to do anything, let me know.

Again, you did a great job setting up the page for us.
