加州梦娜湖Mono Lake, California 梦娜湖在梦娜盆地（Mono Basin），地处于加州优胜美国家公园（Yosemite National Park）的东面。湖的三面由火山包围，大量的火山岩灰和矿物质由水带进湖中沉淀湖底。随着湖水蒸发，火山岩灰和矿物质不断带进湖中，这样一个过程重复经过至少760,000年，就在湖底形成了大量的石灰石的石头。自1941年起，将四分之三流进梦娜湖的水源转截到洛杉矶市后，湖的水位逐年下降，湖底的石灰石石头逐渐露出水面，出现了一种奇特的景观。为了保护梦娜盆地地区的地质地理文化，国会在1984 年九月通过提案，将这一地区定为第一个国家森林风景区（Nation’s first National Forest Scenic Area）。现在已经减少转截的水源来保证湖水不再下降，进而可以在将来稳步上升。下面是一段约翰-缪勒（John Muri,是美国，特别是在加州非常著名的环保领袖人物)对梦娜盆地的形容："A country of wonderful contrasts, hot deserts bordered by snow-laden mountains,cinders and ashes scattered on glacier-polished pavement, forst and fire working together in the making of beauty." 我的照片是在湖的南面South Tufa Reserve区照的，时间是零七年十月十四日（10-14-2007）。 谢谢。 石晓梅
