Hi all,

As indicated in previous emails, we compared Lake Houston and Huntsville State Park and decided to go with Huntsville, as Lake Houston has no lake access.

The picnic will be on Sunday, May 11. Huntsville State Park is in North Houston (I-45), near Huntsville. The park charges an entrance fee of $4 per person (13 years or older). But this year we will not charge for food. We will prepare some basic food, drink, and members may also bring some dishes for supplements (not required). In addition, our association will rent boats for members to enjoy on the lake. Cheng Jizhong and Sha Jian will be in charge of the boat. If you would like to help with food preparation, please let us know. There will be some other activities. Details to follow.

The camping on Saturday, May 10. Currently we reserved 4 sites. This year we reserved screened shelter, meaning that even if there is rain, we still have a place to stay. We may have to add 1 or 2 sites after we confirm the head count. Campers please bring your own tent. We will eat together for dinner and breakfast and have fun.

This weekend and the next weekend are the best time to view wild flowers, please don't miss it! Just go west on 290 to Chapel Hills, you would not miss it.
