Hi Everybody,

Things repeat after 3 years, but with less fear this time. Currently Ike is scheduled to make a landfall early Saturday morning (from midnight to 6 am) at Freeport, then it goes along 288 and hits Houston area. That's the bad news. But on the otherhand, I am excited that finally after nearly 10 years in Houston, we will have a first hand experience of a real Hurricane! And best of all, we no longer need to water the lawn and garden.

Joking aside, if you are live in area where flooding is a problem and needs to be evacuating, please find a friend, alumni inside the city or north of Houston to stay -- there is no point of driving to Dallas. It's time for us to help each other. This also helps our community as a whole as it reduces traffic on the freeway.
